What a great book to have on-hand. I know for a fact that some of my EMT buddies have never seen this book and this is something that I definitely need to bring to their attention as we live in Southern California where Spanish speaking is very common. For them to be able to understand everything they really need to know can make an incredible difference.

I have a blog that talks about emt's and ems's at http://www.emtsalary.net if you get a chance to check it out. I will absolutely be adding this book to a post that I am putting together about the best pieces to read as an EMT to hopefully set people on the right food. Thank you.

"Multivitamin. I think any brand of multivitamin is fine. The idea behind taking one is the inherently poor diets that too many EMS providers have, especially while on shift. It is also a way of getting the other B complex vitamins to complement the 2000 mcg of B-12."

Almost every brand of multivitamin plays a good role in health. Vitamin b12 is one of the best vitamin that a person has. I read a lot of good stuff about vitamin b12. I read here at http://products.mercola.com/vitamin-b12-spray/ that Vitamin B12 supports a healthy mood and feelings of well-being.* And then there's this -- it also provides excellent support for your memory, mental clarity, and concentration.*

Good tips on the supplements and I may try working those in. I do take the B12 but not as regularly as I should. Doing 24hr shifts can be tough. I find even if I get a night of uninterupted sleep while on duty, I am still in that zombie state the next day. I think even though I am technically sleeping, I still have that one ear open for the tones, so i dont get into a deep sleep. I'll let you know how I feel in a few weeks after working the supplements a bit more.
